Learning to share and problem solve while establishing trust as they enter into their educational journey, we introduce scholars to math, science, pre-reading, play, art, stories, and age appropriate activities through a biblical lens. Learning through play is a vital role that we take on here at CCA. We deliver this to our scholars by giving them a safe, loving, and enjoyable environment to grow in. Mrs. Smith- Continues to build on foundational skills learned in Pre-k. Scholars will learn a wide variety of skills from recognizing letters, their sounds, how to read and write sentences, number recognition, and computing simple equations. By learning these skills, our scholars will gain the confidence needed to advance to first grade-all from a biblical worldview filter. Mrs. O’Brien- Works together to build a foundational love of learning. We will spend the year learning about the letters of the alphabet and combining those letters to read words and journal our thoughts. We will dive into God’s word and learn about Bible truths, vocabulary and character traits. We memorize scripture to “write the words on our hearts”! We also explore with numbers, patterns, sets of objects to build on our love of math. We use a variety of hands-on exercises, paper and pencil, and technology to build these skills.
